Experience
I am currently a 6th grade Language Arts, (Reading and Writing), teacher in Aldine ISD, teaching 9 years. I am certified as a Generalist 4-8, with an ESL endorsement for grades 4-8. I teach and tutor with rigorous instruction, with the use of grade level materials and scaffolding techniques to evolve students into becoming critical, self-motivated thinkers. I set achievable goals with my students and work alongside them to ensure that their production of work mirrors the level of instruction that has been provided to them. My ultimate goal is to ensure that learning growth and development are present with my students. I enjoy whole group, small group, and 1 to 1 tutoring sessions. Knowledge is key to success, and I strive to equip this with every student I teach/tutor.

Tues/Thurs after 5PM, Saturday after 10AM, Sunday after 1PM

Up to 45 minutes away at my regular hourly rate
Hobbies
The activities that I enjoy are, but are not limited to: reading novels of fiction, literary non-fiction, and informational texts, writing, traveling, watching movies and listening to music. I also enjoy sports (football and basketball). Go Cowboys!!!
